United Drops Transatlantic Awards to 10,000 Miles — Book by Friday

· Trovlr

United MileagePlus quietly cut Saver-level award pricing on transatlantic routes this morning, dropping one-way economy awards from 30,000 to 10,000 miles on select flights between Newark and London, Dublin, and Frankfurt. The sale runs through Friday, October 30, and covers travel between now and March 2027. Taxes and fees still apply — roughly $60–$90 each way.

This isn't a glitch. United confirmed the promo to Trovlr as a 'limited-time Saver award promotion' aimed at filling winter seats. Availability is spotty: midweek departures in January and February show the widest open inventory, while December holiday dates are mostly gone. Business-class Saver awards are also discounted to 40,000 miles one way, down from 60,000.

Why it matters: 10,000 miles is roughly the value of a $150 statement credit on most travel cards. If you've got a stockpile of Chase Ultimate Rewards or a United card, this is one of the cheapest ways to cross the Atlantic in years. Book directly on united.com, filter for Saver awards, and don't wait — these buckets emptied fast during United's last flash sale in June.
