Alaska Airlines Offers 100K Global Status Match—Here's How to Get It

· Trovlr

Alaska Airlines just dropped a status match offer that's turning heads: they'll match your elite status from American, Delta, or United, and throw in up to 100,000 bonus miles. The catch? You need to apply by June 30 and fly 5,000 miles on Alaska within 90 days.

The match tiers are straightforward. If you have top-tier status (like Delta Diamond or United 1K), you'll get Alaska MVP Gold 75K, which includes complimentary upgrades and a 100% mileage bonus. Lower tiers get MVP Gold or MVP. The 100,000 miles are awarded after you complete the flying requirement—that's enough for a round-trip business class to Europe on partner airlines.

This is a big deal because Alaska's Mileage Plan is one of the last revenue-based programs that still offers sweet spots. With American cutting back on partner awards, Alaska remains a viable option for booking Cathay Pacific or Japan Airlines. If you're a frequent flyer looking to diversify, this match could be worth the effort.

But don't wait. The application window closes June 30, and you need to have your current status verified. Once approved, you have 90 days to hit the 5,000-mile mark. That's roughly a round-trip from Seattle to Denver or a one-way to Hawaii. If you can swing it, the 100,000-mile bonus alone is worth over $1,500 in travel.
