Delta and Amex Just Made Resy Reservations Bookable With SkyMiles — Here's How It Works

· Trovlr

Delta and American Express announced today that SkyMiles members can now redeem miles for Resy restaurant reservations at roughly 1,200 restaurants across 14 U.S. cities, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, and Austin. The integration lives inside the Fly Delta app, and bookings open 30 days out — same as cash Resy reservations. No cash co-pay, no minimum spend requirement.

The catch is the exchange rate. A standard Resy table costs 2,500 SkyMiles per seat, while hard-to-get prime-time slots (Friday/Saturday, 7–9pm) run 5,000 miles per seat. Delta values SkyMiles at roughly 1.2 cents each in its own award charts, so you're effectively paying $30–$60 in miles for a reservation that costs nothing to book with cash. There are no blackout dates, but inventory is capped at 20% of each restaurant's bookable tables.

Why it matters: if you're sitting on a pile of orphaned SkyMiles from a downgraded card or a canceled trip, this is a low-friction way to burn them without hunting for saver-level award space. Just don't transfer Amex points to do it — you'd be lighting 1:1 transfer value on fire for a $30 table. Use it as a miles-dump, not a strategy.
