Africa Is Not a Country, But the Travel Industry Keeps Treating It Like One
Trovlr Newsroom
Here’s the travel news that makes me angry this week. A localized Ebola outbreak in one region is causing a continent-wide tourism crash. That’s right—because the travel industry still treats Africa like it’s one giant country.
Travelers are canceling trips to Morocco, South Africa, and Kenya over a health issue in a completely different part of the continent. This isn’t new. It’s a predictable, preventable pattern.
And almost nobody is fixing it. If you’re planning a trip, do your homework. Don’t lump 54 countries into one bad headline.
Know the difference. Travel smarter.
